Eupora High School Return to Play Plan Summer 2020

As we navigate these unprecedented times we are reminded what makes the Eupora community such a special place; the ability to rally around and support our schools and student body. During this initial phase of reopening a few guidelines will be implemented to ensure that our student athletes and coaches minimize the risk of spread the COVID-19 virus. Below are a series of detailed measures that will be put in place beginning June 1 and continuing until further notice.


Guidelines for Facilities

  • All facilities will be cleaned, disinfected and sanitized
  • Covid -19 Infographics will be placed at the entrance of each facilities
  • All guidelines issued by Federal, State, and local government agencies will be followed as well as those issued by MHSAA
  • Hand Sanitizer and/or soap will be available at each location.
  • All student-athletes will have their temperature taken prior to admission in any workout regiment.
  • All social distancing guidelines will be strictly enforced.

Student Athlete Guidelines

  • Students are required to bring their own water bottle/drink (drinking fountains, garden houses, faucets, and school owned water coolers WILL NOT BE USED)
  • Sharing of water bottles is strictly prohibited
  • Students are to bring their own towels. These are to be taken home and washed daily.
  • Coaches will not wash work out clothing.
  • Locker rooms are off limits to student athletes.
  • Upon completion of workouts students will be required to leave campus.

In the event of illness/suspected infection

  • Students are to comply with CDC and MSDH quarantining procedures.
  • In the event that an individual registers a fever, a 72-hour restriction on physical exertion with at least 24 hours of no fever must occur prior to returning to activity.
  • Any fever lasting longer than 72 hours should result in testing for Covid-19

Preventive Measures

  • Masks are encouraged but not required
  • All shared equipment, surfaces, and enclosed spaces will be sanitized fully
  • Frequent reminders will be given regarding to proper hygiene: hand washing, sanitation of apparel, coughing or sneezing into elbow, etc.
